Evil Donkey - Web Developer
With my background in graphic design and over a decade in web development, I have the unique advantage of crafting custom website designs from the ground up and bringing them to life with cleanly written HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript code.I specialise in building custom WordPress themes from scratch, leveraging HTML, PHP, JS, and CSS alongside the latest Bootstrap framework to create responsive, user-friendly designs. My workflow includes MAMP for local development and Bitbucket for version control, while Trello, Figma, and Zoom facilitate seamless collaboration with clients and colleagues.Beyond WordPress, I also develop websites using Webflow - an efficient tool for simpler builds or animation-heavy projects. Additionally, I contribute to email campaigns, website designs in Figma (paired with Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator), and collaborate with SEO experts to enhance site performance.
Jul 2014 - Apr 2017
Cariad Marketing - Graphic Designer
I continued the final year of my design apprenticeship here for a year and then was taken on as a full-time Graphic Designer as a key member of the team.
I was responsible for design work across a broad range of clients, covering both web and print. I also managed and actioned the requests of many clients over the support helpdesk which covered website support, email account support, designing and sending of email campaigns (MailChimp & Constant Contact) and website fixes / amends.
Jul 2013 - Jul 2014
Alchemy Creations - Apprentice Graphic Designer
I started my design apprenticeship working at Alchemy Creations, a very small three-man team at the time.
Primarily, I was responsible for design amends to various championship level and below football programs, using Adobe Photoshop to create cutouts of many different players and also being responsible for creating and updating Leyton Orient’s program’s kids section with word searches, spot the difference and more using Adobe InDesign.
Aside from print design, I also helped to maintain content for the company’s social media and website.
